This amazing archipelago consists of 122 islands clustered into three main groups: the Wallaby, Easter and Pelsart groups.
The islands boast an extensive range of marine life, thanks to a unique mix of tropical and temperate marine species. The unique coral reef formations and spectacular coral gardens provide some magnificent scuba diving and snorkelling while the prolific fish life makes for excellent fishing or spear fishing. There is the option of paddling with Captain Ash Nesbit (either ocean skis or fishing skis) or surfing can also be excellent at the islands given the right weather conditions.
The Abrolhos Islands are also rich in maritime history. The islands were quickly named 'abre os olhos' (Abrolhos) by the early mariners, meaning 'open the eyes'. Wrecks are scattered throughout the islands – a reminder on just how hazardous these waters once were – the best known being that of the Dutch East India Company vessel Batavia (1629), wrecked on Morning Reef near Beacon Island.
The Abrolhos Islands have excellent anchorages inside the island chain with no swell, and even if it's windy Silverado sits dead flat with no rocking.
Silverado is 'big'. She is 24m in length and 8.3m wide, making her extremely stable. We have dive scooters on board, snorkelling gear, stand up paddle boards, ocean and fishing skis. Silverado also has a dive compressor on board to fill your tanks to help you explore the beautiful coral the islands have to offer.
Silverado accommodates 10 people in air-conditioned comfort with five bedrooms, three with ensuites. Three levels with day beds and much, much more.
